Using UTM Tags

In order for Monty to capture marketing data, we’re currently using UTM tags.

Your form will automatically collect this data if it is present in the url.

The tags are as follows :

  • utm_source
  • utm_medium
  • utm_campaign
  • utm_keyword

An example would be :

https://www.meetmonty.co.uk?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=CPC&utm_campaign=Brand-Campaign&utm_keyword=CRM

If you are using Google Ads, it’s possible for you to use a tracking parameter at the account level to do this automatically for you. Follow this guide for instructions on how to do this.

The landing page and gclid will automatically be detected when a user arrives on your website.

Each time a user visits the site, any existing data will be overwritten. Allowing you to fully track the users engagement with your marketing campaigns and website.
